Statutory Requirements include legal and regulatory requirements that have to be complied to. These requirements are
non-negotiable, failure of which may lead to penalty, early end of contract and other legal implications. It is
imperative for the Service Delivery Processes Lead to identify and understand any statutory requirements in the
engagement which may need any changes to the existing processes or need to be taken care of when defining new set of
processes.
Statutory requirements, their expectations and needs must be understood and captured. The Service Delivery Processes
Lead should ensure that determined statutory requirements are utilized as ‘process inputs’ in process definition.
In addition to ensuring that these requirements are clearly covered in the processes, the Service Delivery Processes
Lead must also define a method for regularly:
-
Determining, maintaining and updating all applicable statutory requirements
-
Communicating all applicable statutory requirements within the engagement
-
Monitoring and assessing the compliance to these statutory requirements.
The Engagement Manager (Transition) should aid the Service Delivery Processes Lead in identifying the statutory
requirements for Service Delivery Processes and seek clarifications from the legal experts, if required, to ensure that
all requirements are captured and well understood.
